Jumbo Screen Printing

Jumbo screen printing and large format jumbo prints are what we do! Smaller than an all over print jumbo screen prints still typically fill up the front of the shirt, but do not extend out to the edges of the sleeves. Jumbo printing is an economical way to get a large print at a reduced cost from an all over print as they do not require the additional labor required to starch the shirts and the production rate for jumbo prints is only slightly slower than a standard size print.

At Spreading Ink jumbo prints are limited to a maximum of 20 inches wide x 25 or 26 inches tall. Jumbo prints are available in up to 14 colors on dark colored garments and 15- 16 colors on light garments which give you more flexibility in your art than an all over print. Jumbo printing is another of our most sought after specialties and Spreading Ink offers jumbo screen prints with minimums starting as low as 144 pcs per design with capabilities of producing 12 - 15,000 prints daily.

Unlike all over printing, jumbo screen prints are done with the shirt over the platen. Because of this many women's garments are not suited to this size of print as women's garments will not typically fit over a jumbo printing platen - if you need a large print on a woman's garment we suggest you do a large standard print as this will probably be large enough to give you a jumbo look on this size and style of garment.

Some limitations of jumbo printing that should be considered are as follows: Men's small garments often will not take a full jumbo print without the print falling off of the tail of the shirt. If you are going to print men's smalls we suggest you consider printing them with women's size of art or not doing these prints on shirts smaller than a medium.

We have templates available which will show you the approx. size of your jumbo print graphic when laid out on different styles of shirts. Keep in mind that at 20 inches wide your print may cross over the sleeve seams or the collar seam of the shirt, and as such, you may have some inconsistencies in the ink coverage similar to all over prints in these areas.
